Brooke Connor Design offers colorful illustrations of wildlife, slightly twisted by an overactive imagination and need for color.  I use alcohol based markers to blend and overlay vivid colors to add texture and depth.

Alternatively, I use several digital painting programs to create complex illustrations. I feel really guilty using digital programs to get high quality realistic paintings because there is very little frustration using digital  tools and available materials. Using digital, you have all the tools and all the materials at your fingertips. It’s almost easy.

My prints are available on traditional canvas, on high gloss metal, or as giclee prints (matted or unmatted). The original pieces are available on a limited basis. Fair warning though – markers are not good for creating background textures or scenes, so many of my original pieces have no background at all. Any background seen is likely added digitally for printing.
